Science Café: A visual natural history of insect jumping

The talk will highlight recent and ongoing research projects in the lab as well as slow-motion visual natural history from his YouTube channel Ant Lab. Tonight’s Expert Dr. Adrian Smith is Head of the Insect Research Lab at NCMNS and creator of the popular YouTube channel, AntLab. About BugFest September 19 10AM-7PM Three decades of creepy, crawly and fluttering fun come together for the Museum’s biggest celebration yet. This year’s theme, “Hoppers,” spotlights treehoppers, planthoppers and leafhoppers. Explore more than 100 exhibits, crafts, games and activities celebrating the world of arthropods.
